About Malmesbury TRA

The Malmesbury Residents Association is an organisation setup and run by local residents on the Malmesbury and Alfred Street estates. It is a recognised residents association that aims to represent residents living on the estate. The MRA has been around for over 10 years and has tried its best to be a link between the residents and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH). The MRA currently runs and manages Caxton Hall Community Centre and works in partnership with its sister organisation, the Malmesbury Communities Project.

The current officers of the organisation are:

Chair – Aktar Ahmed

Secretary – Jahid Ahmed

Treasurer – VACANT

The MRA currently runs a monthly meeting for residents to attend and raise any queries or concerns. The meetings are held on the last Tuesday of every month at 7:30pm in Caxton Hall.

The MRA also welcomes residents to become volunteers to help in improving the quality of life and conditions for all residents on the estate. The MRA has been liaising with LBTH and has been successful in putting bids for window replacement programmes all over the estate, estate improvement programs, estate clean up events and many more activities. We also hold yearly social activities to help develop a cohesive community and bring people on the estates together.
